It's no secret that Wet are one of our favourite bands of the past two years. Having fallen deeply in love with their debut EP, which was chucked up on Bandcamp (remember when artists did that) without a great deal of fanfare what seems like an eternity ago, Wet have since signed to Columbia and have an album coming out in January. We've caught a glimpse of the record already through 'Deadwater' and 'Weak', now new single 'It's All In Vain' ramps up the excitement another notch with Kelly Zutrau's glistening voice cocooned at the heart of fizzing hi-hats, tenderly kissed piano keys and yearning synth swells. You knew this already but Wet have absolutely mastered this particular strain of subtle, moving pop. - DC
